MoonShine Mountain Farm
PRODUCTS & SERVICES
At MoonShine Mountain Farm our goal is to Farm with Complete Self- Sustainability. When we first got started Homesteading we were in desperate need of classes and services that would help assist one toward becoming self-sustainable. Now that we have learned a few things and made quite a few mistakes we are offering classes to help others who want to pursue homesteading, farming or just providing a few essentials for the family.
We would love to talk to you about your dreams and share ours with you as well.
Our Garden
Our garden is a huge part of how we can work toward our ultimate goal of self sustainability. We grow all sorts of Veggies and "Put Up" as much as possible. We try to focus on Heirloom veggies as much as possible, and even save our own seeds when we can.
Canning is a huge part of what we love to do and we use (in our opinion) unique flavor profiles to make our yummys even more yummy. We grow year round with a Spring - Fall outdoor garden and a Greenhouse in the winter. Nothing is better than a fresh tomato and we grow at least 5 Heirloom varieties. Come try!
Want to learn to Can?
We would love to teach you, or a small group of friends how to preserve your harvest so you can enjoy the fruits of your garden all year long!

Starter Veggie Patch
Want a garden on your own, but don't know where to start? We would love to help!
With a little bit of elbow grease we can help you set up a garden that can produce chemical free, naturally grown food on your own. With the rising food costs and uncertain economical times having a supply of fresh healthy food for your family is a great idea!
Even the smallest 4x6 apartment patio garden can grow enough food to help slash grocery bills by 1/3! (*of the produce bill) Let me show you how!

Our Animals
We love our animals and treat them with the utmost respect. Our "Ladies" aka Chickens, Dexter Cattle, Goats, Sheep, Turkeys and Rabbits are all like members of our own "herd"
Our Ladies are Free Range and our Rabbits are in large pens simmulating a pasture environment OR they enjoy being on grass in movable 'tractors'
The herd animals all share a large lush pastures and barns. (They also get lots of treats everyday- right now we love garden fresh kale, chard and lettuce)
